We’d all like to see our children happily married. It’s what our own parents wish for us. We just want to see them happy in a relationship. But sometimes, it’s hard to find the right partner. So, what do you do if your child is struggling to find the right man for her?
1.Chinese billionaire and real estate mogul.
Well, this businessman from Hong Kong has decided to take a very different approach when it comes to his daughter finding a husband. Cecil Chao is a Chinese billionaire and real estate mogul. He’s gained success through the development of luxury condos and high rise properties in Hong Kong.Cecil has a lot of money, and he’s certainly not shy about spending it.
2. He offered a lot of money to any man willing to marry his daughter
The billionaire recently made international headlines, for the second time, for offering $180,000,000 to any man willing to marry his daughter. He originally made headlines back in 2012, for the same reason, only the original price was much lower. He was only offering $60 million.
3. His daughter was suprised with offer
Cecil’s daughter, Gigi, however, was very surprised by her father’s offer, and you will be too once you hear a few interesting facts about Gigi. Not only is she already married, but she’s been with her partner, Sean Eav, for over ten years. But that’s not all. Gigi is also a lesbian.
4. She wrote an open letter to her father
Cecil refuses to accept that Gigi is married, even though she married her husband in France in 2012. Gigi wrote an open letter to her father in an attempt to reach out to him and to get him to accept the fact that she is a lesbian
5. Here is what she said
“As your daughter, I would want nothing more than to make you happy,” the letter read. “But in terms of relationships, your expectations of me and the reality of who I am, are not coherent,” the letter continues. “I know it’s difficult for you to understand how I could feel romantically attracted to a woman; I suppose I can’t really explain it either.” I hope Cecil and Gigi will reconnect so they can move past this.
